Collocation Services

Square offers clients space in a secure, high tech and environmentally friendly facility. Each centre is equipped with industrial HVAC units to assist the cooling achieved through natural air flow. Cooling and air flow efficiencies are achieved through innovative hot aisle/cool aisle design, return air plenums and facility modeling to avoid hot spots and air flow blockages. In addition, we are located in the basement of an energy efficient building and the warm air produced by our servers is channeled through a heat exchanger and used to heat the units above the facility.

  • Filtered air conditioning designed in conjunction with heat exchange units to capture and use waste heat.
  • 24/7 Video surveillance and monitoring
  • 24/7 monitoring of humidity, temperature and air flow
  • Sensors to detect door propping or improper use of facility entry/exit ways
  • FM 200 Waterless fire suppression system guaranteed to be harmless to all electronics in the event of a fire
  • A 2-door man trap entry and exit way armed with electronic and monitored key card access.
  • All critical systems are monitored by a third party security company.
  • Full sized, top-of-the-line, lockable and dedicated cabinets are assigned to each customer.

Power

  • 15 amp power circuits provided with every cage.
  • Additional power circuits can be added at any time.
  • There are NO LIMITS on the number of 15 amp circuits we will provide to your cage; regardless of cage size.
  • We provide monthly reports on your equipment’s power use showing you usage patterns throughout the month allowing you to manage your power needs and limit power upgrades and the associated costs. (Learn more … )
  • All power is backed-up by 110 volt UPS battery power as well as a Cummins diesel generator.
  • Our generator is air cooled, avoiding failure should the city’s water supply be interrupted in a disaster.
  • Regular monthly generator maintenance and testing ensures our gen-set is in perfect operating condition.

Internet Connectivity

  • All cages and custom areas come standard with a 100Mbps full-duplex Ethernet connection.
